Taking a Sample
Our goal is to ensure the best possible result from the analysis of your sample - and this starts long before the sample is received into our laboratory. The analysis result is only as good as the sample submitted. Taking a good, representative sample of the product being submitted is the most critical step in determining the accuracy of the final result. A sample needs to accurately reflect the nutritional/residue status of the total batch which maybe several tonnes.
In the case of water analysis, it is preferable to use containers provided by our laboratory to limit the risk of contamination from the container.
There maybe specific sampling requirements relevant to your sample or test which would dictate the amount of product required, container used or temperature at which the sample is submitted. Some guidelines are included below, but our customer service team are always on hand to answer any queries you may have.
